- Australians support the blind with a new fragrance
A fragrance has been created in Australia to express support for blind and visually impaired people.
Advertising and marketing corporation Clemenger BBDO Melbourne wanted to draw community attention to one of the biggest problems facing blind and visually impaired people: isolation.
To reward the efforts of Guide Dogs Australia – the company representing the Australian guide dog organisation – the Clemenger Group has created a unique fragrance – Support Scent.
Anyone who cares about the plight of the blind can purchase this fragrance. The sense of smell allows blind people to detect those wearing "Support Scent," letting them know they're being supported.
The packaging of this fragrance was also designed with the blind in mind, featuring a scented Braille alphabet.
The agency teamed up with Australian cosmetics brand KIT to launch and develop the concept. The fragrance is sold nationwide at Myer, Australia's largest department store chain, in drugstores, and online. Proceeds from sales benefit Guide Dogs Australia.
