This requires several steps. The ingredients are transformed chemically and enzymatically. Even 1 gram of the substance is suitable for this task. The next step involves understanding the structure and properties of the components. They are separated into separate compounds. They are smelled and then the most attractive ones are selected. What steps will precede the approval of a fragrance compound for production? The Poles will test the new compounds for toxicity and potential threats to the environment and humans. They will verify that the resulting compounds are not carcinogenic. They will analyze how the resulting mixtures affect the ecosystem. They will use algae, daphnia, and bacteria for this purpose. They will also test the compounds' stability under various conditions, so that they can then be used in the chemical, cosmetics, and perfume industries.
