How to apply?
Any method is good. Massages, baths,
aromatizing . Bathing with essential oils makes the effects last longer and allows the oil to circulate throughout the body longer. For the upper respiratory tract, applying oil to the chest, inhaling it, and aromatizing it, for example, with a humidifier, can help. Aromatizing is a good solution because it's the most natural way to absorb the oil and makes it difficult to overdose. Furthermore, this method also disinfects the air – a benefit for all household members with colds.
What should you pay attention to?
Thyme oil is quite often adulterated. With what? Synthetic thymol. If you're choosing to buy natural oil, it means you want to use the compounds naturally occurring in it. It belongs to the group of irritating oils, so it should always be diluted. Furthermore, there are different varieties of thyme. For example, the one from France, with its mild, sweet scent, is well-tolerated by the skin. The one from Spain, on the other hand, has an intense, cumin-like aroma.
