Smell like text messages?
Your choice of ringtones on your cell phone can say something about your personality. But what would the smell of your notifications say? The Japanese company Scentee introduced a device for iOS and Android in November 2013. It's a small, round device that plugs into your phone. The device contains scent capsules that release an aroma whenever someone likes a Facebook post or receives an email or text message. You can also use the device to, for example, send a rose scent to express your apology or to let someone know you're drinking aromatic coffee. The scent can spice up games by adding the scent of burnt rubber or gunpowder. It can also help you wake up in the morning. Available scents: apple, coconut, jasmine, strawberry, bacon, coffee, rose, curry, lavender, mint, ylang-ylang, and cinnamon. One capsule lasts for approximately 100 uses. Scentee entered the US market in April 2014 and was named engadget.com 's "Unconventional" Product of the Year.
