Perfumes for the 21st century – in a tablet
In a world where almost anything is possible, capsule perfumes have found their place. Lucy McRae, an artist and designer from Australia, is collaborating with biologists from Harvard to develop the concept of a swallowable perfume. Each of us is constantly seeking new ways to communicate our uniqueness and express our extraordinary individuality. Perfume in pill form breaks the boundaries of technological progress, opening up entirely new possibilities for self-expression. An innovative method of getting rid of unpleasant body odor The tablets modify human body odor. How? You swallow a capsule. It absorbs, transforming your skin into a kind of atomizer. A second skin activated by the natural human metabolism. Fragrant molecules are released onto the skin's surface through pores during perspiration. They leave tiny droplets on the body, releasing a unique scent. A genetically unique scent that speaks to who we are and how we express our identity. Intensity and fragrance note Perfume encapsulated in a pill doesn't have a specific scent. Therefore, everyone who swallows the pill will smell differently. The intensity and shade of the scent will depend on individual characteristics such as body temperature, blood pressure, stress level, type of physical activity, and sexual arousal. Provocative campaign The perfume is being advertised in a controversial video intended to spark discussion among the cosmetics, pharmaceutical, fashion, and technology industries about the future of perfume application. A key point in this debate is the concept of the body as a technological platform that can be explored and its meaning redefined. Research into creating and releasing perfumes to the market is still ongoing.
