Do they perceive you as unmanly? There's a solution – use deodorant.
Psychologists from the University of Stirling have something to say about masculinity. They suggest that men perceived as less than masculine should use deodorant. But be careful – if they already think you are super masculine – deodorant won’t change anything, it won’t add extra points on this peculiar scale. Scottish scientists reached these conclusions after conducting an experiment on a group of male and female volunteers. One hundred and thirty men and women viewed photographs of faces and rated their masculinity or femininity . Then, a group of 239 people evaluated scent samples from 40 volunteers. How did men evaluate it and what did women say? When a woman sprays deodorant on herself, men perceive her as smelling more feminine. The opposite sex rated every woman this way compared to women who didn't use deodorant. Women rated men quite differently. They rated men who didn't use deodorant as unmanly in their faces. When these same unattractive men used deodorant, their ratings increased significantly. This remained unchanged when comparing the faces of men considered very masculine.
